Beard Oil How to Use and Apply

Posted by on

Now, we all know our minds are racing with important thoughts for the day; "When is season 8 of Game of Thrones coming out? Wait ... has it already come out? … Who would win in a fight - one hundred duck sized horses or one horse sized duck? … Man, fingers are so weird, it’s like our arms just split into other little arms..."

With all these important thoughts buzzing around, the best way to make sure you don’t forget to apply daily is to make it part of your routine.

We suggest you apply your beard oil after your morning shower when your beard is warm and moist (mmm... moist). This is when your hair - and skin - will best absorb our oil’s key ingredients.

Drop the correct amount of oil into your palm. Here’s a rough guide -

Beard Age Amount of Beard Oil
0-1 month 3-4 drops
1-3 months 4-6 drops
3-12 months 6-10 drops
One year plus 10 drops & up

When in doubt, start with less and work your way up. No one likes a greasy beard. Spread the oil around your palms and fingers until it is evenly dispersed (the way you would rub your hands together in anticipation of test driving the new Tesla).

Work it into the root of your hair follicles and then down to the ends of your beard. It’s important to get started at the roots, and not at the top of the hair. Dig deep boys. Distribute the oil evenly in your beard by applying it from different directions, including bringing your hands up through the bottom of the beard. Lastly, to smooth it all over, bring your palms down along the sides of your beard and then do the same down the front. Use your fingertips to coat the hairs of your moustache.

Bonus, you can use any residual product left on your hands to moisturize your neck or give your hair a little extra lovin.

Follow the steps above daily and enjoy the result - a soft, manageable, itch & beardruff free beard.
